The course follows Oregon Street across I-10 before turning east briefly onto Missouri Avenue. It then heads north again onto Santa Fe Street, eventually turning west onto 7th Avenue. The final stretch is southbound on Stanton Street, ending on Montana Avenue near the start line.

The one mile walk course is an abbreviated portion of the 5K route. It starts on Montana Avenue and heads west to Oregon Street, turns north crossing I-10, and finishes back at Montana Avenue near the 5K start/finish area.
Both courses are relatively flat and fast with only gradual elevation changes. They showcase El Paso landmarks including Southwest University Park, the Plaza Theatre, San Jacinto Plaza, and El Paso County Courthouse.
